Welcoming "Dew Sukontha" as Our Educational Experience Lead!

May 25, 2025Moh Suthasiny

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Dew Sukontha to the Happy Grocers team as our Educational Experience Lead! 🎉

Dew has been a part of our journey since the very beginning. She studied alongside Moh and Pearl at GSSE, Thammasat University — and our friendship, built on a shared passion for sustainability and social impact, has only grown stronger over the years.

Back in August 2020, just a few months after we launched Happy Grocers, Dew supported us in organizing our very first farm trip. That experience became a turning point. It taught us that truly connecting people to their food system requires more than just delivering groceries — it’s about immersing people in the land, the local culture, and the communities that grow our food. That trip shaped the heart of what Happy Grocers would become.

Since then, Dew has followed her calling to transform education in Thailand. With a passion for making high-quality learning accessible to Thai public school students, she pursued an MSc in Education (Digital and Social Change) at Oxford University. Now back in Thailand, we’re beyond proud to have her lead the education programs at Happy Grocers.

Meet Dew 🌾

Dew is a passionate teacher and the heart behind our educational experiences. She loves sharing Thailand’s incredible agricultural traditions with people from around the world, creating deep connections through hands-on learning about sustainable farming.

What makes her work truly special is how she brings local students and international visitors together to learn side by side — creating moments of intercultural friendship, mutual respect, and discovery. Through her leadership, learners not only gain insight into regenerative farming practices that have been passed down for generations — they also get to experience the joy of learning across cultures.

What’s Ahead 🚜

With Dew on board, we’re expanding our farm-based education programs with international schools like ISB, MYIS, Shrewsbury, ELC, Bangkok Pattana, NIST, and more. Many of these hands-on workshops will continue to feature our incredible chef friends like Chef Tammy and Chef Celia, blending food, farming, and culture in a way that’s interactive and unforgettable.

And now, we’re launching something new:
A unique initiative to make agricultural sustainability education inclusive and accessible to Thai public schools. For the first time, international visitors and learners will join Thai students on immersive farm visits — sharing space, stories, and the wisdom of the land together.

It’s more than a farm trip. It’s a space for intercultural exchange, community building, and empowering the next generation of food changemakers in Thailand.

Please join us in giving Dew a warm welcome! Her journey is just getting started — and we’re so excited to grow this next chapter with her. 💛

The Happy Grocers Team
